Closed joint stock company “Dovainoniu paukstynas” is a privately owned company, established on the 2nd of December 1993 . The company started its activities with hatching and selling one-day old chickens. With emerging possibilities of cooperating with foreign companies, these activities rapidly developed; the company started exporting chickens to neighboring countries – Estonia, Latvia, Belarus and Ukraine. The company activities have always been dynamic and export-oriented. Good relations with many leading foreign poultry companies were set. Connections with poultry breeders from various countries – Holland, England, Hungary, Sweden, Finland and Poland – were established and are still developing.  At the moment, the company is specialized on hatching and raising Cobb-500 broilers.

The company grows for every year.  The largest sale increase was reached as a consequence of increased demand for broilers on private farms. Considerable income comes from the export of one-day old broiler chickens. The experience from foreign and European countries shows that decentralized production is the most profitable way of poultry farming. Following this approach and avoiding intense concentration of birds in one place, the danger of bird diseases and the pollution of the environment decreases. CJSC “Dovainoniu paukstynas” is also striving to follow this philosophy.
In the activities on our poultry farms, major attention is paid to innovations, new equipment and technologies. CJSC “Dovainoniu paukstynas” was one of the first companies in Lithuania that started using modern imported chicken hatching and bird feeding-watering, microclimate sustaining equipment. Since 1998, we are closely cooperating with Pas Reform BV (Holland) our hatchery equipment provider. Only new Pas Reform BV equipment – modern computerized setters and hatchers – is in use.  Using SAPARD fund, the all  broiler  and parent stock growing facilities of “Dovainoniu paukstynas”  were modernized. 

 At the moment, “Dovainoniu paukstynas” specializes in growing broilers. After many experiments, the broiler breed Cobb-500 of the company Cobb Vantress Inc. was chosen. This breed is one of the most popular breeds in the world; it has the finest characteristics of growth and succulence. “Dovainoniu paukstynas” is cooperating closely with the representative of Cobb Europe for the Scandinavian and the Baltic states – the Swedish company Blenta AB. This company provides “Dovainoniu paukstynas” with high quality parent stock . Both companies closely cooperates with exchanging innovations and experience; the specialists of Blenta AB are frequently our guests. Following the global practice, that parent stock and broilers are grown separate on isolated farms. The daughter enterprise, CJSC “Antalges paukstynas”, situated in Utena region, 160 km from Dovainonys, has the parent stock and delivers the hatching eggs. The day old parent stock comes from  Blenta AB. The representatives of Blenta AB are following the rearing and production of parent stock closely.

CJSC “Dovainoniu paukstynas” has close productive relations with agricultural company “Nematekas” – the two companies make a factual alliance. “Nematekas” poultry slaughterhouse is one of the  most modern in Lithuania.  “Nematekas” is buying all broiler chickens grown in “Dovainoniu paukstynas”, slaughter, processes and is selling the products in its distributive trade. Thus, the broilers, raised in CJSC “Dovainoniu paukstynas”, not only reaches the outermost regions of Lithuania, but also the European market.
